Introduction

Tracker requires the Services of an Operator in the Monitoring Control Centre based at our Head Office in Johannesburg. This position requires a candidate who is committed to delivering extra ordinary customer service as well as conscious about our customers and their vehicle safety. The ideal person will also be responsible for ensuring effective customer liaison interactions and dispute resolution. The ideal person should be able to work shifts of 12 hours, be committed and dedicated and work in a highly pressurised & disciplined environment.

Minimum requirements

Skills and Qualification
  • Grade 12 or an equivalent NQF level 4 Qualification
  • 2 years’ experience in customer service delivery industry
  • Call centre experience will be an added advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Grade C PSIRA registration would be an advantage
  • Must be able to work shifts, have a driver’s license and own/reliable transport

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accept inbound-emergency calls and ensure that the response and recovery process flow smoothly and in accordance with all approved SOP’s and policies;
  • Maintain the ability to obtain all the required critical information from highly stressed and/or traumatised customers;
  • Liaise with Tracker recovery personnel, private recovery partners and law enforcement agencies throughout the activation and recovery process;
  • Accurately capture all progress on and or activities relating to response and recovery;
  • Continuously update the response and recovery teams;
  • Direct recovery personnel to the locations of activated vehicles;
  • Navigate and utilise multiple systems and screens during the activation, tracking and recovery process;
  • Ensure Customer Service Standards are maintained, and queries are resolved in a professional manner aligned to Tracker’s principles and values;
  • Adhere to internal and external SOP’s, SLA’s and MOU’s;
  • Provide inbound and outbound services to both existing and prospective customers and partners;
  • Report deviations to the shift supervisor and/or NECC manager;
  • Work in a highly pressurised environment;
  • Have a thorough and clear understanding of the nature of the Department and of Tracker as a business;
  • Contribute towards enhancements and developments within the Department; and
  • Constantly strive towards providing an above average customer experience.

Minimum requirements

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent acceptable NQF Level 4 qualification;
  • Minimum 2 years call centre experience
  • No criminal record or pending cases (Applicant will be subjected to a criminal check and pre-employment polygraph examination);
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written skills;
  • Fluent in English (speak, read and write);
  • Ability to think proactively and take initiative to best serve our customer needs;
  • Ability to handle pressurised, stressful and/or traumatic situations;
  • Must be able to work shifts as per the approved shift roster, including weekends and public holidays;
  • Must be willing to perform paid standby shifts as required – planned and unplanned;
  • Driver’s licence and own reliable transport;
  • Understand the importance of team work and social cohesion;
  • Be able to work in a disciplined environment with strict operational policies and rules;
  • Be able to take instructions and follow processes and procedures;
  • Computer literate with above average typing skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy; and
  • Cultural adaptability and social tolerance.
The following will serve as an advantage:
  • Registration with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) or ability to register within a timeframe set by Tracker;
  • Police or Emergency Service experience;
  • Working experience in a vehicle crime investigation environment; and/or
  • Emergency Control Centre or Customer Service experience in a similar environment

  • Advising, coaching and supporting line managers and staff on employees on the full range of HC functions and services – including employee relations, performance management, recruitment and selection, job evaluation, remuneration and benefits, induction, development and training, staff employee wellness, organizational design and academic probation – to ensure consistency with relevant legislation and company HC policy and procedures
  • Undertaking specific projects, in consultation with line management, to facilitate HC activities and enhance client service
  • Providing timeous and relevant HC management information
  • Delivery on staffing sourcing – ensuring high quality employees’ staff for the business unit/department
  • Implementation of the full performance management cycle in the business unit/department
  • Driving the values and creation of a great working environment at business unit/departmental level
  • Help identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviours, structures, and processes
  • Implement Human Capital Policies and Procedures (Employee Relations, Recruitment & Selection) at business unit/departmental level
  • Handle employee relations/dispute resolutions in areas of responsibility including CCMA/Labour court matters.
  • Responsible for execution of all people processes in the employment and business cycle, in line with policy and legislation – recruitment, psychometric assessments, induction, L&D, EE planning, retention, career management, rewards etc
  • Support line management in forecasting and planning the talent pipeline requirements in line with the business unit/department’s strategy
  • Facilitate line of sight initiatives to build a high-performing organization aligned with the strategic leadership agenda
  • Facilitate and promote employee engagement and feedback, in line with the company’s vision to be employer of choice
  • Provide expert advice and coaching to employees where appropriate
  • Human Capital Reporting
  • Identify and Implement change interventions.
  • Administer skills audit processes to identify the skills needs of the organisation and report on it.

Minimum requirements

  • A degree in Human Resources Management, Labour Relations or Industrial Psychology or equivalent qualification
  • MAP or similar Management Development Programme will be advantageous
  • Minimum 5 -7 years’ experience as a Human Capital Generalist, supporting Contact Centres
  • Strong employee relations experience is essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines
  • Understanding of Change Processes
  • Understanding of Performance Management and improvement processes
  • Human Capital Information Systems understanding
  • Basic Project Management skills
