SPAR Eastern Cape, a division of The SPAR Group Ltd, is currently recruiting for Graduate Intern Trainees to join their dynamic team.

This programme is geared towards providing and developing recent graduates by providing an on-the-job workplace experience programme aligned to the graduate’s field of study. The programme will run over a period of 12 consecutive months. The program offers Graduates the opportunity to gain experience in a complex, multinational fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) business.

Minimum requirements

Must demonstrate that you have graduated and/or completed your degree and/or diploma.
Must not be part of an Internship or Graduate programme OR have previously partaken in an Internship or Graduate programme.
Graduates will be required to be based at the site where the specific vacancy is advertised for the duration of the Graduate Development programme.
Must have good communication skills.
Must have ambition to learn.
Be able to organise own transport to get to work and back.
Must have completed one of the following qualifications (3-year or 4year Diploma or Degree) :
  • HR – Industrial Psychology or Labour ( Employee Relations)

To ensure timely and correct reconciling of all creditor’s accounts from ledger to the suppliers’ statements and payments.
Key Performance Areas
  • To prepare creditors reconciliations timeously, ensuring clear reconciling monthly
  • To prepare payment requests accurately with all supporting documentation according to deadlines set
  • To pay creditors
  • To process claims accurately and timeously
  • To file creditors documentation accurately and neatly
  • To reconcile high volumes of accounts on a weekly and monthly basis
  • To process and follow up on claims
  • Handling claims from suppliers and stores
  • To assist with data capturing

Minimum requirements

  • Grade 12 senior certificate
  • Display a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • FMGC experience will be advantageous
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel
  • 3-4 years’ experience FMCG industry (which we have already)
  • Reconciling 95-90 accounts (high volume & high pressure)
  • Checking 1- 1500-line items
  • Value from R5000 to R25 million

Job description

Purpose of the role:
The Architect – Cyber Security is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of Cyber Risk Solutions. This role must assess cyber security infrastructure and develop strategies and architectures to enable targeted, value-adding Cyber Risk Solutions. It is responsible for ongoing testing to evaluate the effectiveness of cyber security technologies and to identify opportunities for improvement across the digital, physical, and social elements of the technology organisation.
Key Performance Areas:
  • Applies multiple security testing methodologies and techniques to assess security infrastructures and identify / evaluate vulnerabilities
  • Assesses cyber security policies and procedures to analyse compliance with regulatory requirements and evaluate overall operational efficiency
  • Enables sustainability and continuous improvement of cyber security solutions by continuously assessing and enhancing business cyber security governance infrastructures
  • Incorporates findings in recommended upgrades aligned to the overall cyber security strategy
  • Develops and executes strategies, architectures, and roadmaps to provide need-based, value-adding, and cost-effective Cyber risk solutions
  • Creates and documents security specifications for all high complexity enhancements and projects
  • Reviews and approves BRDs and CR’s to ensure that all requirements are met and that proposed solutions are cyber security compliant
  • Provides direction and guidance on cyber security matters to the wider technology team
  • Manages all 3rd party service providers against contracts and agreed SLA’s

Minimum requirements

  • Matric
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, IS or related technology discipline is recommended
  • Certification required in one or more of the following:
  1. CISM (Certified Information Security Manager);
  2. CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional);
  3. ISMP (Information Security Management Principles);
  4. CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional);
  5. SABSA Chartered Security Architect.
  • A minimum 4 years’ progressive experience in a focused cyber security role
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with development architecture artifacts using modelling methods such as ArchiMate™, UML, BPMN and/or others
  • Experience with data encryption including endpoint, email and databases; Cryptography, PKI and centralized key management
  • Experience with Information and Cyber Security Frameworks: ISO/IEC 27001/2; NIST SP800-53; NIST CSF; CYBOK
  • Experience in Software / solution architecture, modeling, design and development and designing network layer security solutions
  • Experience with Web and mobile application security, including mobile gateway security and multi-channel security; PCI standards and Payments
  • Demonstrated understanding of Security architecture and knowledge of wider Cyber Security issues
  • Very good knowledge of Java, Javascript, Unix / Windows system administration and scripting
  • Good understanding of at least one of the leading IAM products (Sailpoint, CyberArk, Forgerock or others)
  • Good working knowledge of networks and network architecture and integrations
  • Good Understanding of information security principles and best practice (e.g., ISO27001 and ISF Standards of Good Practice for Information Security
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal frameworks related to Information Security, Cyber Security, Data Protection and/or Privacy
