Founded in November 2012, the SAP Training and Development Institute (SAP TDI) strives to support in the creation of sustainable work possibilities by boosting the business system knowledge and entrepreneurial mindset of students, young graduates, and the experienced workforce in the region. By offering a host of programs tailored to bring SAP business skills to those who have a cultural and social understanding of a local region, the SAP TDI’s initiatives help talented minds not only to find jobs but also to establish their own companies by nurturing their entrepreneurial mindset. Furthermore, SAP TDI serves as Think Tank for knowledge exchange, co-creation and co-innovation. The mission of the Recruitment Team at the SAP Training and Development Institute is to attract and source talent (primarily student and graduate level) for the several training programs and initiatives of the SAP TDI.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

This entry-level position will support the recruitment activities for the SAP Training and Development Institute. As individual contributor, the Recruitment Associate will support the Head of Recruitment and take over well-defined activities to help program manage the recruitment campaigns and events.
As Recruitment Associate for the SAP Training and Development Institute, major responsibilities will include:

·         Supporting daily recruiting operations independently

·         Ownership of operational process in recruiting, including but not limited to:

·         Build Candidate Roster:

·         Review incoming applications and pre-qualify according to given selection criteria

·         Carry out phone interviews with applicants following a clear recruitment process and interview questionnaire – ensure quality and quantity according to given expectations

·         Administer assessment tests (e.g. cognitive, PI) for pre-qualified candidates

·         Build roster of candidates that pass all pre-assessments and are ready to be invited for assessment center

·         Assessment Center Support

·         Ensure Assessment Centers are planned

·         Drive logistics/operational setup for Assessment Centers

·         Ensure all eligible candidates are invited, track responses and be point of contact for all candidates

·         Ensure all required documents are prepared for the assessment center

·         Track and follow up on results of assessment center

·         Contract Management

·         Ensure all selected candidates receive engagement letter on time ahead of training program start

·         Ensure all HR system requirements are met

·         Track engagement letter return and candidate feedback, follow up with candidates

·         Closely engage and follow up with HR on contract creation

·         Ensure all administrative HR steps are accomplished on time

·         Onboarding/Orientation Day

·         Provide support in preparation of Orientation Day (Day 1 of each training program batch)

·         Promote the Program/Sourcing

·         Support in creating and initiating recruitment adverts on job portals, university campuses etc.

·         Liaise with different stakeholders (e.g. universities, government agencies…) to access CV/Unemployment databases for CV sourcing

·         Promote the Training Programs at Career Fairs/Career Days

·         Interviews

·         Support and conduct interviews when required including travel to various countries

·         Executes standard and non-standard (less complex) tasks alone

·         Acquires deeper knowledge about processes, executes professionally and uses his/her initiative in situations

Education And Qualifications / Skills And Competencies

·         Bachelor degree in Business and/or related study with emphasis on HR.

·         Minimum 12 months experience in a Recruitment-related role.

·         Proficiency in MS Office and common recruiting software

·         Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Fluent in English, Arabic is a plus.

·         Strong project management skills, detail oriented; must be highly organized with the ability to manage towards multiple deadlines simultaneously

ROLE DESCRIPTION

The Solution Lead Engineer with advanced/expert level knowledge of SAP and partner software solutions and participates in sales cycles as a member of the virtual account team in support of the sales account strategy.

The Solution Lead Engineer interacts with prospective customers through executive meetings, discovery conversations, solution demonstrations, executive presentations and follow-up discussions. The Primary role of the Solution Lead Engineer during an active sales cycle is to gain acceptance from the customer that SAP solution can solve the customer’s problem and is the right choice over the other competitive offerings. During these cycles they often take on the role of a Solution Captain. In addition to deal support, the Solution Lead Engineer collaborates with sales and Industry Value Engineers (IVE) teams to plan and execute business development strategies through the use of Design Thinking tools and techniques.

Deal Support:

·        Compose and deliver superior sales solution presentations covering SAP and partner software solutions to prospective customer audiences. The presentations must articulate the value message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression to audiences which can include senior company executives.

·        Prepare and deliver value-based software demonstrations/presentations in support of sales cycles. Preparation includes personalization of materials to ensure delivery of a simple, appealing and compelling customer presentation.

·        In advance of a demonstration or key presentation, conduct discovery sessions with representatives from the prospective customer in order to build relationships with the customer and understand their unique needs.

·        Demonstrate deep knowledge of SAP solutions and appropriate industries in order to maintain credibility with prospective customers. Provide proof points with relevant customer stories.

·        Support RFx completion in support of customer proposals.

·        Ability to effectively present to customers “remotely” using virtual technologies (SAP Virtual Studio and Adobe Connect).

·        Provide limited post-sale support to key customers primarily to the project/implementation team to ensure a smooth transition.

·        Able to lead as a Solution Captain when deals require complex solutions and require multiple presales participates to support a successful customer presentation or demo.

·        Effectively leverage support teams who are there to support presales success. (Global / Regional Solution Specialists, (Center of Excellence) CoE, IVE, Solution HuBs, Deal Advisors, Solution Experience, Product Management).

Demand Generation

  • Support one-to-many sales and marketing events both on-site and remotely.
  • Lead & support Design Thinking workshops to promote new and innovative solutions for customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify whitespace opportunities at accounts.

Sales Readiness

  • Develop close relationships with sales teams in order to promote effective sales methodologies
  • Participate in demo system design and planning and assist in configuration if needed.
  • Participate in new product release input and testing and training of peers.
  • Serve as a champion for or participate as a leader in Solution Hubs and provide knowledge transfer to colleagues as needed.

WORK EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of SAP ECC or S4 HANA implementation/consulting experience
  • 5+ years of presales experience
  • 5+ years of Database & Data Management solution specialist (or equivalent customer facing) experience in areas appropriate to the job

·        Demonstrates 5-7 successful engagements leading small teams on small-mid-sized deals

·        Expert knowledge/expertise on end to end processes/solution matching

·        Experience in sales and sales processes

·        Excellent presentation and communication skills

·        Position to cover subsaharan and southern Africa markets with special focus, but not exclusively, on Portuguese speaking countries.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

·        Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement

·        Master equivalent: optional

·        MBA / Ph.D.: optional

Fluent in Portuguese and English-mandatory requirement.

Logistics Clerk  ( P13  )

Sappi Forests requires a wage Logistics Clerk to coordinate the delivery of plant material to customers and to administer tray returns to ensure Forests and external customers receive required plants on time.

This role reports to the Admin Officer.

The main responsibilities of this job are:

  • Check with Customers (OWN, PROJECTS and PRIVATE) on Plant Requests through Nursery Management System to ensure the correct orders are delivered on time.
  • Confirm receipt of Plant Request on NMS to alert the customers of confirmed delivery date, ensuring preparation to receive the delivery of plants.
  • Check payment authorisation before release to PRIVATE customers by liaising with finance department to ensure payments are reflected.
  • Liaise with External Nurseries to confirm available plant stock to ensure consistent supply to forests, ensuring a continuous supply of plant material to customers.
  • Update Dispatch Schedule and dispatch board on a weekly basis to ensure that nursery management is on par with weekly plant orders, any possible plant shortages or surpluses will be highlighted.
  • Customer notification of plant delivery, to enable scheduled timeous delivery, to ensure arrangement of contractor staff to offload plants.
  • Conduct daily checks with transporters on availability of trucks, to ensure plant delivery on the required date and time, to improve efficiencies that will further drive cost reductions.
  • Update weekly delivery schedule and communicate to Customers and Suppliers to ensure that customers prepare to receive the plants on plantation. This will ensure optimal scheduling, maximizing trucks and ultimately reducing transport costs.
  • Ensure Transport, Plant and Tray Delivery notes are correctly captured on NMS, ensuring customers are billed correctly for services to reduce waste of corrections to be made.
  • Ensure empty tray returns (Type, number and Owner of trays) are captured on NMS. Ensure customer signs off on tray return slip, enabling the correct processing of credit notes to customers, eliminating timeous tray reconsolidation exercises with the customer at yearends.
  • Liaise with plant suppliers (Own and Outside Nurseries). Ensure a Delivery Note is on each delivery to correctly process plants received, thereby ensuring payments for delivered plants are accurate. Preventing late payments to suppliers.
  • Check all detail on the Delivery Note (Customer name, plant species, clone number, seed stock number, number of plants, tray type, tray number, cost of plants and transport cost). To ensure that the correct plants, according to the customers order are sent. To ensure correct seed lots and varieties are planted in the compartments which will help optimize yields.
  • Ensure Delivery Notes are sent to Customers and record kept on file, for processing the sale onto NMS to ensure transparency with relevant customers.
  • Ensure Invoices for each delivery by external nurseries reflect the correct purchase order reference for processing on SAP. Ensuring easier referencing to payment of these invoices.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level certificate
  • An Administration qualification will be advantageous
  • Supervisory experience advantageous
  • Minimum 1 year relevant experience
  • Basic computer literacy with SAP is preferable
  • Fluent in English and IsiZulu
