We are looking for a highly effective Solution / Functional Architect (SA) to join the Salesforce Services Team that helps customers successfully transform on the Salesforce platform.

The Solution Architect will have responsibility for supporting our largest and most strategic Solution Delivery opportunities, lending his/her expertise to the delivery of world-class Salesforce implementations and building the necessary and valuable relationships both internally and externally.

The Solution Architect is generally the most experienced application expert on the project team. The Solution Architect will hold end-to-end functional responsibilities as it relates to the analysis, design, built, test, and deployment of enterprise level solutions including the assessment of viable solution options, providing industry best practices, formulating and presenting solution options to various levels of management, influencing and directing decisions that result in optimal client success, overseeing the production of deliverables, and establishing trusted advisor status with Business and Technology stakeholders. The Solution Architect can communicate effectively to various stakeholders in the forms of architectural diagrams, functional capabilities, business process efficiencies, and business value realization.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle C- level relationships/expectations and building strong relationships with all key stakeholders and team members

  • Understand and present high-level overviews of the Salesforce Core Cloud architecture and integration capabilities

  • Establish Trusted Advisor status with Business and Technology stakeholders

  • Lead consultative engagements with clients on their process, business and technical challenges

  • Ensure sustainable, scalable, best practice solutions to meet and exceed customer needs

  • Develop and maintain numerous project deliverables that support the solution design to include discussion documents and other project artifacts

  • Where required hands-on application configuration/customization to meet client needs

  • Establish domain/industry vertical expertise and broad application expertise

  • Collect, formulate, and disseminate best practices on solution positioning and delivery. Provide feedback to Engagement Managers and Executive Sponsors when necessary

  • Submit billable time for projects, and attain or exceed personal billable utilization targets

  • Collaborate with salesforce.com-certified service partners, product management, R&D, and extended project team for all engagements

  • Remain current with leading edge industry and technology drivers and innovations including the Salesforce product set

  • Where required, support deep-dive pre-sales activity to position successful delivery of the Salesforce solutions

Experience/skills required:

  • Consulting experience and relevant experience in a Senior SA position

  • Experience collaborating on a strategic delivery team

  • Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to quickly learn new things and to adapt to new situations

  • Keen ability to quickly understand customer’s processes and connect business requirements with the functional capabilities of the application

  • Expert in the assessment of business objectives, formulating solution options, and driving stakeholder support

  • Solid Experience in leading workshops to define and prioritize client requirements and required Capabilities. Ability to ask hard questions during workshops and suggest best practices and efficient ways to design the best solution for the customer

  • Extensive experience contributing as a direct resource, and managing others on enterprise software deployments

  • Deep CRM experience

  • Business Process Engineering / Re-engineering background, in the areas of sales, marketing, and/or service/customer support

MuleSoft Account Executive South Africa 

Location : Johannesburg – South Africa

  • Enterprise customers, defined by annual revenue between $150 million and $4 billion, are the fastest growing segment of our business today, and we’re looking for Enterprise Account Executives to leverage our unique position in the Gartner Magic Quadrant to drive revenue success. MuleSoft’s Enterprise Account Executives are true business owners, helping develop and execute in-territory or vertically-focused field marketing campaigns to drive awareness and lead generation.
    As an Enterprise Account Executive, you will establish and develop a strategy for identifying and closing new software and services sales opportunities directly with targeted key strategic accounts and new strategic prospects across multiple industry verticals within your dedicated assigned territory. You will be responsible for managing complex sales-cycles across our entire portfolio of products and present the value of our enterprise integration solutions to Director, VP, and C-level executives. You will also own and lead successful executions of sales activities through collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and senior management, and with corporate counsel through contract negotiation and signed contracts.

  • Covering our Southern Africa territory, focusing mainly on South Africa but also covering additional countries in Africa. Experience working with customers in this region is an advantage.

    What you’ll need to be successful:
    5+ Years in an outside sales role selling into IT suite with large-deal experience
    Experience hunting in a greenfield territory
    Drive to perform with a track record of exceeding annual sales quota
    Demonstrable sustained persistence
    Linear and logical sales process and methodology
    Creates own demand in a given sales cycle
    Intellectually curious; you want understand everything about our customers and market opportunity
    Solutions oriented and business focused
    25% travel
