Role Purpose

Responsible for new account development within the mid-tier and client accounts segment. Holds direct responsibility for identifying opportunities and closing additional revenue from new clients.

Accountabilities & Deliverables

  • Achieve agreed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.

  • Achieve agreed plans that focus on regular proactive engagement with prospects and clients.

  • Apply the Iress commercial ways of working in all activities including prospecting for and engaging with clients via our chosen methodology, process and tool-set.

  • Identify and develop a pipeline of sales opportunities that maximises breadth of Iress products to achieve sales targets and deliver value for clients.

  • Research, map and qualify prospects, identifying key players and generating interest.

  • Work closely with prospects and clients to understand their overall strategy, challenges and priorities and what solutions can be delivered.

  • Deliver high quality proposals, RFPs, pitches, presentations and product demonstrations. 

  • Drive sales growth of products and solutions for the relevant area.

  • Identify cross-sell opportunities from the suite of Iress software and support the account management team to execute on organic growth opportunities.

  • Capable of representing Iress singularly and introducing specialists to solve complex client problems as required. Follows a consistent approach to sales to ensure adequate and efficient briefing of new opportunities.

  • Maintain, update and use global CRM with accuracy and timeliness, and record all material client and prospect interactions.

  • Responsible for drafting, modifying and finalising contracts, including new and add-on business

Key Competencies

  • Experience and knowledge of working within a sales environment, following a methodology and process, applied with discipline and a drive to succeed

  • The ability to effectively work under pressure and to meet revenue targets

  • Deep understanding and knowledge of Industry practices, business environment and technology requirements

  • Detailed knowledge of the key business drivers for financial services companies

  • Excellent analytical skills to evaluate the client, competitors, industry landscapes and make recommendations to drive profitability and gain market share

  • Influencing, negotiation, critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Strong commercial and business acumen

  • Excellent communication, relationship building and networking skills

  • Ability to achieve results and work in a constantly changing environment
