Role Objectives
Comprehensive desktop investigations are conducted within a digital environment. This ensures improved customer service, retention of customers and minimizing any claims leakage through in-depth analysis of the information obtained through out the investigation

Stakeholder Management
Quality of relationships with Internal and external stakeholders and ensure that we build relations and reputation to maintain and create opportunities
Customer experience (Complaints and Compliments management)
Osti – maintaining 0% overturn ratio. Immediately assist and respond all Osti matters by including T/L ?
Complaints received to be handled immediately and feedback provided (Include Team Leader on response)

Claims Management Ensure accurate analysis and reports based on the layered voice system
Outputs required to achieve this accountability
Manage my performance against the key Claims measures, i.e. no of claims processed, TAT’s, Benchmarks, Car Hire Performance etc.
Contact made with clients within 24 hours
Provide regular feedback to the claims department and client (every 48 hours)
Regular notes and updates to be documented on SPM
Ensure that all documents are loaded immediately upon receipt on SPM during processing of claim
To ensure receipt of original registration or de-registration documents and vehicle keys, where applicable and handed over to our salvage or SVR division, howsoever directed
Detail discussion of claim outcome after decision has been rendered
High quality of investigation reports: Identification of fraudulent claims and dealing with them effectively (timeously escalating claims that should be dealt with
Ensuring claim finalization within mandate
Ensuring quality report writing and administration process followed by your administrator (resolve any issues that might be affecting your performance)
Ensuring that Investigations adds value to business (value chain)

Customer Centricity

Embed TCF as a way of doing business
Manage investigation to be in line with OSTI and SAIA guidelines to allow for fairness towards clients and still with effective outcomes

Reporting to the Group Head of Compliance, the incumbent will assume responsibility for assisting in developing, implementing and maintaining a system of compliance for the Hollard Group.

Role Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the compliance program development, annual compliance strategy planning and compliance audit planning
  • Undertake regulatory risk identification, assessments, risk management planning and monitoring activities,
  • Screen the regulatory environment for changes and developments that impact the Hollard Group
  • Evaluate new regulatory requirements, advise business on practical impacts and implications and guide the implementation of appropriate projects, processes and controls to ensure compliance with new requirements and assist with training.
  • Represent Compliance on new projects and initiatives to be implemented and where new or amended legislation requires it.
  • Guiding remedial action plans and risk mitigation strategies in line with businesses’ objectives
  • Co-ordinate and manage all regulatory reporting, regulatory reviews, onsite inspections and visits
  • Assist business in providing guidance in complaints resolutions.
  • Fulfil the role of FAIS Compliance Officer.
  • Oversee work performed by Analysts and Junior Analysts
  • Ensure regular compliance reporting to all stakeholders including, Hollard Group Head of Compliance, Business Unit EXCO and

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • 10-15 years’ minimum experience in the financial services industry in a risk and compliance management role.
  • FAIS Compliance for CAT 1, 2 & 3, Insurance Act and/or LTI and STI experience is a must
  • FSCA Compliance Officer – Registered Member of the Compliance Institute preferable
  • Expert knowledge of Life and Non-Life Insurance, CISCA, related regulations and industry guidelines, FAIS, FICA, FATCA,
  • POPIA, TCF and new applicable industry legislation, Companies Act and King IV requirements
  • Demonstrate experience in leading a diversified and technically competent compliance team

Educational Requirements

  • LLB Degree/Equivalent Degree, Relevant Post Graduate Diploma would be an advantage

The primary objective of the position is to roll out a Data Governance Operating Framework for Hollard Life Solutions, with a focus on improvement of data governance and data quality through modifications of organization behaviour, policies, standards, principles, governance metrics, processes, related tools and data architecture.

Collaborate with Risk and Legal departments to interpret data-related acts and laws. Translate compliance requirements to technical and business requirements for IT and data stewards to action.

Collaborate with data stewards to analyse data for data quality issues and define requirements for what quality measures needs to be tracked, define acceptable data quality levels in conjunction with the business and define rules that the company must use to ensure data is available, at the right quality levels and accessed securely by authorised personnel

Manage, investigate, and resolve data quality issues within enterprise applications, using various techniques while safeguarding against data loss.

Create and implement a Data Governance Framework.
Create data governance processes and controls.
Create data governance policies and standards.
Ensure that new systems and/or applications adhere to existing data management practices, policies, and procedures.
Develop and build relationship with internal and external stakeholders.
Serve as a liaison between business and functional areas and technology to ensure that data related compliance and business requirements are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements.
Actively manage data owners, data stewards and data custodian forums and content.
Develop training plans for data owners and data stewards.
Continuously evaluate data governance tools for suitability for company use.
Produce data governance reports and dashboards on a recurring basis.
Enrol data owners, data stewards and data custodians around active management of key data issues.
Manage documentation as well as remediation of key data issues.
Review data remediation results and manage subsequent oversight of key data.
Collaborate with data stewards and data custodians on review and planning of key information gaps which present challenges.
Identify and ensure the resolution of data quality issues, such as uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a cost-effective and timely fashion.
Take a lead in preventing data quality issues by identifying frequent user errors, and working with business units to strengthen user competence
Collaborate with data stewards to perform data profiling on a regular basis and generate data quality statistics. The results of these audits should be communicated to business owner of the data and tied into service level agreements (SLAs) between data entry personnel, IT, and the appropriate business units.
Devise, coordinate, and conduct mass data-cleansing initiatives for the purposes of purging and eliminating corrupt or redundant information from corporate databases.
Identify causes of poor data quality, implement solutions and communicate findings to employees, management, and stakeholders.
Develop and enforce methods and validation mechanisms for ensuring data quality and accuracy at the point of entry.
Work collaboratively with the system architects to develop methods for synchronizing data entering company systems from multiple points.
Conduct research and make recommendations on products, tools, services, protocols, and standards that will support the data management strategy.
Familiar with POPI and other data related laws and compliance frameworks.
Actively participate in the Data & Analytics MANCO.
Promote collaboration amongst the different sub-teams in the Data & Analytics team.
