Now, this team is looking to bring on board the expertise of an established Mining Sales Manager-ISV will take a leadership role to develop, advise and manage all Isolation Valves Sales activities for the Mining strategic Accounts, End user, Engineering Procurement & Construction EPCs and supply partners in the portfolio. This role reports into the Regional Sales Manager Isolation Valves – South East Africa Region.

You will be accountable for the systematic development, support and implementation of growth strategies to achieve or exceed targets while developing opportunities. These can range from targeted competitor displacement, navigating strategic account planning, effective engagement with End users and consistently aiming towards a profitable business and engaging with the Local Business Partners/Representatives for successful execution of the job function.

Your role responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Developing and implementing plans to drive and grow Profitable Business such as MRO, Parts, Displacement, Service business and increase revenue and returns from the existing solid installed base.
  • Developing and implementing Mining EPCs plans to drive get visibility for all the mining projects in the region, develop strong relationship with Key EPCs player and develop and implement the projects pursuing process which help to put more install base.
  • Developing and implementing the required Sales channel approach for mining supply partners and resellers.
  • Establishing and develop high level strong relationships with key leaders and at all functional levels with all Key End Users in SEA.
  • Meet or exceed territory financial objectives (budget, monthly booking forecast, etc.) as required in support of the Isolation Valves Territory business plan.
  • Developing and implementing Sales and Site plan strategies for key mining install base in SEA.
  • Driving solution selling for critical applications and solving customer Pain by site visits and surveys, Analyze and develop plans to drive suitable displacement solutions to end Users.
  • Preparing and present marketing forecasts, pricing surveys, business growth intelligence and marketing plans
  • Drive for the End user approval for the manufacturing location and the brands with Key End Users and to get qualifying for the Project specifications and Approved Vendor Lists.
  • Developing long-term relationships with senior management within customer accounts to ensure awareness of the capabilities of Isolation Valves Business Unit and Emerson Automation Solutions.
  • Proactively engage early with End Users Project team to support and gain preference for the Isolation valves products and solutions.

Basic Qualifications

Graduate Engineer with Degree level in discipline like Mechanical, Instrumentation, Petroleum, Chemical or equivalent.   

A minimum of 8 – 10 years in Sales / Sales channel management / Strategic Accounts experience preferably in the valve industry or with Process mining Industry.

Valve Mining Industry experience.

Track record of achieving sales targets and growing territory above market growth.

Ability to consistently deliver Sales growth and gaining customers reputation

Achievement of an MBA qualification will be considered advantageous but not necessary.
