Our position of Demand Planner MEA, based in Johannesburg, South Africa:
Demand Planner is responsible for accurate demand planning for operating unit in order to achieve timely orders, as well as, the planning of raw materials.

Description of Tasks:

  • Ensuring proper execution of demand planning processes
  • Following-up of the forecast accuracy & bias results, providing a clear explanation for the up/down drivers by sales areas, customer(s) and product (s), monthly meetings with sales to discuss the results and focus points, working on continuous improvement
  • Reviewing of the irregularity report (data cleansing , re-alignment(s) , gap closing (vs budget, prior year), taking punctual action within a defined time frame
  • Applying demand shaping actions from S&OP when there are supply constraints
  • Demand planning meetings with sales reps , customers ,other relevant stakeholders to discuss and challenge forward rolling forecast , based on pre-analysis performed in order to reach alignment on “one figure”
  • Preparation & leading the Demand Validation meeting in which a final rolling forecast validation is reached together with Local Sales Managers, covering the tactical horizon to be used as basis in the Regional S&OP’s
  • Preparation &leading the Sign off meeting in which a final rolling forecast is validated by General Manager
  • Reaching consensus and alignment to deliver a signed-off demand
  • Day-to-day system enrichment activity based on input(s) received and validated by the business
  • Being the single point of contact between Local sales reps and Demand Planning Lead, also SPOC for demand plan, interaction and support with cross-functional stakeholders
  • Identifying improvement projects within the demand planning scope and drive the continuous improvement

Your profile:

  • Bachelor / Master degree preferably within business
  • 3 years relevant work experience
  • English (advanced writing , reading , speaking & listening)
  • Expert knowledge of demand drivers
  • Good knowledge in forecast enrichment
  • Good understanding of the supply processes
  • Good knowledge of statistical forecast calculation
  • Visualization and reporting (BW , BI , BO , APO , SAP , …)
