Purpose of the role:

Responsibilities:

  • Creating, implementing and administering human resources policies and procedures and ensuring that practices are compliant with statutory requirements and guidelines
  • Assisting with various aspects of HR Operations including employee documentation, on-boarding and off-boarding, day to day queries
  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Supporting employee relations by providing guidelines and clarifications on policies and their application
  • Administration of employee benefits and claims
  • Participating in and/or leading projects focused on continuous improvement
  • Organize and schedule meetings and events
  • Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems
  • Create and implement effective plans and support throughout the employee lifecycle.
  •  Assisting with the development of training and development programs
  • Assist in performance management processes
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Maintain employee records (attendance, EEO data etc.) according to policy and legal requirements
  • Assist with Ad-hoc HR activities as and when required

Professional Qualifications/ Experience:

  • Degree in human resources or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in human resources.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Experience on SAP SuccessFactors – advantageous
  • Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Working in a unionised environment

What you will be doing

  • The Consumer Authentication Pre-Sales team is an amazing team built of customer-facing technical resources. If you spend any time looking at cybersecurity news/reports, you and the organizations you will support understand that sticking their heads in the sand is not a successful Identity and Access Management solution.
  • Do you enjoy solving complicated I.T. security puzzles and discussing how organizations (Banks, Credit Unions, Insurance Companies, Airlines and Retail companies) can become more secure?
  • Are you focused on the customer experience? Do you want to drive security changes without making it painful for the consumer?

What we are looking for?

Your job will be to support the sales organization by:

  • Demonstrating how HID products can help our prospective customers
  • Answering the technical questions that sales may not be able to answer to the depth you can.
  • Helping sales and the customer navigate any technical objections they may have regarding the use of HID products, platforms and solutions.
  • Helping answer Requests for Information (RFI) and Request for Quotations (RFQ) (sorry, we also need to type long but amazing technical documents, sometimes at very short notice.)
  • Delivering Proof of Concept deployments where required
  • Presenting the IAMS Solutions and the complete HID Product portfolio when appropriate to both existing and potential customers (if you’ve read this far, we can assume you have no worries of stage fright!)

What is needed of you?

  • Become a technical expert on HID products and the underlying ecosystem they operate in (yes you will be exposed to everything from Active Directory to WebSphere, Firewalls, Databases, Proxy servers and RESTful API’s)
  • You know how to pack a suitcase? Perfect, otherwise the extensive travel to some of the nicest and some not so nice locations for this role will be really tricky
  • You are willing to make a difference? We really love people with an opinion, not shy to share and drive their point across with passion
  • A willingness to learn and develop skills around industry standards and regulations

Education and/or Experience

  • While a BSc (or equivalent education) in Computing, a Physical Science or Engineering could be helpful, we are looking for someone who knows what they are talking about and has experience in practical I.T. Security. You need to be comfortable presenting and enjoy working with technology.
  • Several years experience in I.T Security. Experience working for an I/T security vendor or in the financial services sector could be beneficial.
  • You must have good interpersonal and communication skills in both spoken and written English. The ability to also communicate in other languages would provide the candidate with a strong advantage.
  • You need to be self-motivated (this role is a remote role), hard-working and a team player with initiative and able to self-manage.
