Responsibilities

To service Allan Gray investors, potential investors and financial advisers via our various servicing channels i.e. inbound calls, emails or walk-in interactions through:
Discussion and explanation of all funds and products offered by Allan Gray.
Assisting clients with process information and quotes.
Assisting clients with the tracking and follow up of transactions in progress.
Responding to queries regarding investment performance.
Clarifying and explaining Allan Gray’s investment approach and philosophy.
To ensure accurate record keeping through service related administrative tasks.
To assist with database updates and information maintenance.
To support a positive and responsive climate for client enquiry resolution.
To play a key role in the stewardship of positive client relationships and the retention of clients.
To build and establish relationships at all levels with internal departments to enhance organisational effectiveness and efficiency.
To actively participate in the organisation’s continuous improvement by identifying and proposing solutions to process and service related failures.

As a BI/SQL tester at Allan Gray you play a critical role in the design of our software to ensure it is developed with quality in mind from the very beginning and solving the many complex challenges along the way. Automation is a key part in what we do, so we will expect our testers to have a strong SQL coding background and be an innovate idea generator to assist in building the automation systems that enable us to deliver this world class software rapidly.

Job Responsibilities

  • Estimating effort for testing tasks
  • Defining the test approach for each sprint
  • Extracting test requirements for user stories
  • Designing and creating test cases
  • Executing test cases manually / automated
  • Collaborate closely with developers, identifying, logging, prioritizing and verifying defects in a defect tracking system
  • Managing and maintaining the test environments and test data
  • implementing automated tests
  • First line support and root cause analysis of production issues and proactive, friendly, transparent and efficient support service
  • Continuous improvement initiatives specifically with regards to quality
  • Product risk mitigation thereby limiting defects in production
  • Managing and maintaining the regression test suits (manual / automated)

Requirements

  • You understand the systems you are testing.
  • You know how to write SQL.
  • C# or Java scripting experience would be advantageous.
  • You know where it is most effective for an automated test to live.
  • You can speak the same language as the developers.

  • You are continually trying to improve your testing skills.
  • You read widely about what is happening in the world of testing.

Your Role

You would join as a Technical Recruiter that takes ownership over the recruitment projects and candidate pipelines (Sourcing)

You would get to know your candidates motivations, experience, draw-cards and niggles.  Above all, your candidates would have had a good candidate experience regardless of the outcome.

You would communicate vacancy progress with hiring managers for them to have a clear understanding of your recruitment strategy, obstacles, outcomes for their position.

You would collaborate with your hiring managers.  They value the support and expertise we provide and are keen to work towards the same goals.

You would need to have a good understanding of the industry in order to provide valuable, data-driven insights.

You would be able to network with various business areas.

You would be great at applying various attraction strategies

Job Responsibilities

Specific functions include but not limited to:
    Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract highly skilled, diverse talent (events, campaigns, agencies)
    Responsible for the entire recruitment process from active sourcing to initial onboarding
    Provide an excellent candidate experience by managing a high-quality process
    Support hiring managers in making data-driven hiring decisions by providing information needed
    Manage value-add projects such as internal talent pipelining as well as Employer Branding and EVP enhancements.
    Guide hiring managers around best practice recruitment, industry insights and trends
    Reporting on hiring progress and pipeline on a regular basis to ensure business can plan projects based on capacity

Requirements

    At least 5 years’ recruitment experience, 2 years specifically focusing on I.T recruitment (Please highlight your tech recruitment experience in your CV when applying)
    Must have a good understanding of technical requirements and teams/technical roles
    Experience using proactive sourcing techniques to attract talent
    Managing data-driven hiring decisions while providing accurate, insightful data
    Facilitate informative briefs (pre and post interviews)
    Experience managing hiring projects (Timelines, forecasts)
    Share effective and consistent reporting and analysis with Stakeholders
